The CAP Prize is the international Prize for Contemporary African Photography awarded annually since 2012 to five photographers whose works were created on the African continent, or which engage with the African diaspora.

Photo Basel / Berlin – Boutique Art Fair

In order to celebrate photography – photo basel is honored to announce the invitation by POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair to join their monumental art fair from 10 – 13 September 2020. The photo basel / Berlin – Boutique Art Fair takes place at Flughafen Tempelhof at Hangar 3–4 in Berlin, Germany.

photo basel / Berlin, POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair as well as Paper Positions Berlin take place parallel to the renowned Berlin Art Week, the Gallery Weekend Berlin and the Berlin Biennale.

The CAP Prize 2019 large scale outdoor exhibition will be shown as special exhibition at photo basel / Berlin at the Airfield Tempelhof and it comprises works by the CAP Prize 2019 winners Jodi Bieber, Sanne de Wilde & Bénédicte Kurzen, Thembinkosi Hlatshwayo, Abdo Shanan, and Jansen van Staden.

Furthermore, the winners of the CAP Prize 2020 will be announced during the Berlin Art Week at photo basel / Berlin and POSITIONS Art Fair Berlin 2020.
